Blood Rites

The first blood of the maiden marks her passage into womanhood, and has long been celebrated amongst the tribal women and nations throughout time. This is the rite of passage that the maiden child yearns to reach. New wisdoms and insights are given to the maturing child at this time.

It is a marker to be celebrated and honoured.

Within the sanctity of the female circle Phiona will perform the blood rites for the maiden before her. In a gathering of elders , the child will be embraced as the maiden upon her mother path. Gaining knowledge and wisdom from the elders before her as she learns of the blood rites and the power that they hold. The womb is blessed and protected, for each womb is a reflection of the Great Mother and brings great honour to the female within
